FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Honest answers about handwriting, turnaround, pricing, and how to send at scale.

Is it really handwritten?

Yes. A real ballpoint pen, held by a writing machine, physically moves across real paper for every letter. It is pen-written, not a font and not printed — though because it's a machine, the strokes are more consistent than most human handwriting.

Can people tell it was written by a machine?

We won't claim it's indistinguishable from a person's handwriting — that wouldn't be honest. What we can promise is that it's genuine pen on paper, with the natural variation ink and pressure create, not a printed font. Most recipients notice the ink before they notice anything else.

How long does it take?

We write and mail within 2 business days; USPS First-Class delivery then typically takes 3–5 business days.

Can I track my letter?

Letters travel with a real Forever stamp, exactly like personal mail, so there is no tracking number. We tell you the day it goes into the mailbox and the window it should arrive in.

How does pricing work?

From $4.60 per letter, plus postage (passed through at face value, no markup). The first 300 characters are included; every 100 characters after that add $0.75, because the pen has to physically write every character. Premium paper is an optional per-piece upgrade.

Is there a minimum order?

No minimum for self-serve orders through QuickSend or Compose — send one letter if that's all you need. Sending 500+ pieces gets you volume pricing through an instant quote.

What's the difference between a letter, a card, and a postcard?

A letter is a full page folded into a #10 envelope. Folded cards (4.25×5.5 or 5×7) open like a greeting card with the message written inside. Postcards are a single flat panel mailed without an envelope — lowest cost, no fold, message on one side.

Are the envelopes hand-addressed too?

Yes — the same pen writes the recipient address and, if you provide one, your return address, directly on the envelope.

Can I add a return address?

Yes, you can set a return address that gets pen-written on every envelope, or leave it off entirely.

Can I personalize each letter for a list of recipients?

Yes. Upload a CSV of recipients and use merge fields like {{first_name}} in your message — each letter is written individually with that recipient's details filled in.

Can I send letters programmatically?

Yes — a REST API, a Zapier integration, a Gmail extension, and an MCP server for AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT, and others) all exist today. HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, and Mailchimp connect through Zapier.

Can I cancel an order after I place it?

You have 30 minutes after payment to cancel for a full refund, before the letter enters production.

Who uses Premier Letters?

Relationship businesses that already know who they want to reach — real estate agents, dental and medical practices, home services companies, insurance and financial advisors, marketing agencies, and e-commerce brands — plus developers and AI agents sending on their behalf.

What paper and stationery do you use?

Standard is quality white stationery. Premium is a heavier cream cardstock, available as a per-piece upgrade at checkout.

What's the difference between 'We Mail It' and 'Ship to Me'?

We Mail It: we write, stamp, and drop every piece in the mail ourselves — nothing for you to do. Ship to Me: we write and stamp (or leave unstamped) the batch and ship it to you to mail yourself, useful if you want to review or add a personal touch first. Ship to Me's pen price is a bit lower than We Mail It since we skip the USPS drop — you still pay postage at face value if you choose the stamped option.
